Best position on beautiful beach, lots of sunbeds dotted around among the trees, enabling you to have your own space. Lovely, welcoming and friendly staff. Good food including the breakfast.
We were absolutely blown away by our spacious beachfront villa, and our view of the sea in the mornings when waking up! The room was a more expensive option but we felt it was well worth it!
We appreciated the lush well maintained gardens, the staff were constantly tending them and sweeping both them and the beach, keeping the area spotless!
The property also has a lovely, good sized pool. We also enjoyed good massages at a very reasonable price.
There are many beach restaurants nearby, which allowed us many different options both for lunch and dinner. There are also some nice eating options on the road at the end of the beach.
The area in the evening is generally pretty quiet, which suited us but if you want late night life this beach area may not be for you.
You can get a taxi or songthaew nearby during the day quite easily, we went to Bang Bao pier, and had a delicious seafood meal there one evening.
Our only slight negatives were the thin sunbed mattresses, not good for those with achey backs, however seem to be the norm on Koh Chang, and accessibility getting in and out of the pool could be improved, which would help older guests or guests with mobility issues.
Despite these slight negatives overall we would say this is one of the best beach hotels we have stayed in anywhere.

Greatly enjoyed this welcoming hotel with wonderfully refreshing pool, spacious rooms and rich breakfast buffet. Massages on the beach where there were also other restaurants, bars and resorts. Chivapuri is the finest hotel in the south of the island.

Staying at Chivapuri Beach Resort was wonderful. We had the beautiful and very spacious family room A1 in the 1st floor. Floor, right next to reception. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms spacious and the terrace overlooking the pool and beach invited you to linger. We were particularly impressed by the staff: an incredibly long attendance time and yet always a smile ready, helpful (organization of a 2. Scooters) and extraordinarily friendly. The breakfast buffet had new dishes and little things ready every day, which is why our children liked to get up just because of the morning. The pool and beach were always clean. The water in the pool was a little too cold, but okay. The beach is in our opinion the most beautiful on the island. I wanted to find a private, more secluded place and beach to give me a chance to get grounded again. Chivapuri was just the perfect place for that. The fisherman's village of Bang Bao is just a 15-20 minute walk away. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a guided tour to mount Salakpeth and the road to Salakpeth is still damaged, so hiking there was not possible this time. The walk to Bhuvarin resort and back was totally worth it and had some really nice different views of Bang Bao and Konk Kloi beach. The staff is simply amazing and found a solution to every wish I had. They also managed to take care of the vegan meals I requested - and I could order special items only a vegan kitchen has and they would prepare my requested meals with them for me. Secluded beach, quiet and peaceful ✌️ facilities i thought were very good, especially the pool. The rooms were very clean considering and the bed was very good. The room itself was very stylish and had a great vibe. The restaurant was ok. Scooters can be hired here and also further down towards town had to ask to find out. Handy to know as you are fairly far away from the town and its a sketchy hike at night or day. Booking.com
